They are wonderful and will make every effort to help you take care of your pets! 5 STARS!!
Dr Martin was VERY adamant that my boys not be taken anywhere in public with other dogs, that I meticulously go through my yard (open townhouse yard) and watch them until they concluded their shots. And still I knew the risks. She explains them. Sooo.... owner needs to stop blaming the vet! Parvovirus treatment is crazy expensive. Dog ownership is expensive.
soooo loving. He is a "fraidy dog" and I could hear her taking out his staples and she soothed him with her voice... very sweet... and despite that surgery he loves going there!
Dr. Martin and her wonderful staff have been caring for our pets for over 15 years. We live in Union County, NC and drive past many, many vet offices on the way to Palmetto Pet Hospital, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Dr. Martin goes above and beyond for us and our pugs!
I have been taking my dogs here for 12 years. One of my dogs had a rare disease that doesn't occur normally in their breed. Dr. Martin diagnosed it and found medicine that let him live another year. When his time came, she came in on a Saturday to put him to sleep while we held him in our arms. Very compassionate doctor and staff. I highly recommend taking your pets here.
If I could have give no stars I would have!! Took my dog in as a pupy to have all the dogs shots everything went well. However 6 months later the dog started acting sick so we take it in and it now has parvo!! The doctors responded with we can run some test but the test always comes out false positive, just give us 400.00 a day and we can treat the dog for the next 7 days! If the dog doesnt have parvo we'll be out 2800.00 and the dog still wont be fixed. She also added that she couldnt be for sure if this would save the dog. When my daughter told the lady that she couldnt afford it the DR's responded with "well everyone should have 500.00 put away! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! She 19 years old going to school and working just enough to live on her own. For a 19 year old female that her dog means the world to is gonna die and all you can say is everyone should have 500.00 put away....DO NOT GO TO THIS VET>>..I know people in the Tega Cay area may have money put back but a 19 year old is just trying to get by!
I just also wanted to say the "Parvo" review is so wrong. As a dog owner... do your research!!" Some dogs after they have received the Parvo vaccination still get the disease any way. The reason for this is that the virus has several different strains that seem to reinvent itself as soon as there is a vaccine for it." Bottom line: don’t assume that just because your puppy has been vaccinated, they are safe. It is still best to take the normal precautions to minimize the risk of catching the disease.
I've had the best most loving care here for my two dogs. They've gone here since they were puppies. I've never seen 2 dogs actually get excited over going to the vet but they LOVE it. One had to have surgery after eating something he shouldn't. Dr. Martin was
