Further, look at the high number of 5 star reviews that are all listed in a very close time proximity to other. I was very skeptical of these kind of high reviews so close together on timing for a company that has generated such negative emotions in my local area. If you were to search the profiles of those that gave high reviews, you may find something odd. They seem to have extremely sporadic reviews for companies located all over the country and world. When you see my reviews, you will see that I review and rate other companies in Fort Mill, where I live, over a long period of time. I would question the authenticity of someone who uses a property management company in South Carolina, a payday loan company in Canada, a jewelry store in New Jersey, a Dentist in Illinois, and a pet sitter in Australia.
I'm a rental manager and let me send one stark warning to homeowners considering hiring this company. If you would like to ever rent your home (most of our clients didn't plan to go that route) then expect it to be a nightmare for even great tenants if you have hired this company. Hopefully you'll never find yourself in that situation because they will run your tenants off, refuse to return voicemail in lieu of repeated mailings regarding the most trivial matters and most aggressive overuse of the rules possible. Given the disregard for standard business practice I was not the least bit surprised when I also saw complaints regarding false billing and failure to adequately address those issues as well.
Home owners beware……company has absolutely no respect for your property. The manager I am working with at the Davidson office is giving me the run around and will not commit to an appointment where I can review my HOA’s financial records. My HOA has hired a contractor that currently lives with one of the HOA members. The manager at Kuester doesn’t feel that it’s a conflict of interest even though the relationship wasn’t disclosed and the contract was the highest quote. Kuester is absolutely not cooperating as I need access to the records in order to resolve the situation with my HOA as the contractor has not finished the project but yet has been paid. Also, the manager said to let her know if the job wasn’t finished properly as she would help with the situations. SHE HAS NO DONE SO!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the type of service you can expect from then Davidson office!!!!!!!!!!!
We struggled to figure out why people were being given fines for such minor violations. Kuester charges our community for letters sent and gets a portion of the revenue collected from the fines. The amount of letters sent is such that our HOA actually paid more in fees last year than they generated in fines.
If you use this company for HOA services, I would expect to get a very high number of complaints from your neighbors. From my experience, the community satisfaction has been abysmal.
Kuester is currently in my community, as well as 2 others that I am aware of in my area. In my community, there have been a lot of complaints. I also heard similar stories in the other two neighborhoods they were in. Homeowners in my community were very dissatisfied, feeling like they were prisoners in their own homes. In one of the communities, I heard they were removed, in the other, I heard the HOA board had to have stern discussions with them about backing off.
Kuester assists me in managing a few properties I inherited in the area. I find their customer service to be excellent, with great open communication. They are rated highly in my book!
